Notes:

Document Conversion:

An overview of a document conversion. This is when you have a multiple page word processor document that was originally formatted to a printer page and edited by clerical staff. That document is then printed to a PDF file using a print driver on your system. The goal is to convert this to one or more layouts on ANSI D/E sized sheets for plotting along with a project.

PDFIMG04
  1. Click the DOCASM tab on the bottom left.
  2. Click the ... button in the upper right and select the PDF file.
  3. Considering the sheet size you plan to plot:
    1. Designate an overall scale factor, the default of 0.015 should be close.
    2. Designate a horizontal and vertical origin for the top left point.
    3. Designate the sheet height and width (in inches).
    4. Optionally designate a non-printable margin on the sheet edges.
    5. Specify the number of rows and columns, each cell is equal to a standard letter sized page.
    6. Specify the gap (space) to allow between columns.
  4. Optionally change additional toggles.
  5. Click the large Process button on the lower left.
  6. Please wait to allow the reading of multiple pages creating multiple sheets. The windows wait cursor will be displayed during conversion, wait for a standard cursor.
  7. Choose the X button to close the dialog.

Document Results:

After the drawing is opened you should have multiple layouts depending on the number of sheets in the document, the number of rows/cols and plotter paper size.
